Really About Me
Hi, I’m Lindsay.
Life has thrown me its share of curveballs, but I stand here stronger than ever.
Originally from New York City, I took a leap of faith and moved with my family to Croatia in search of new adventures and experiences. What I didn’t expect was the challenge that awaited me soon after arriving.
Not long after settling in, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The news hit me like a punch to the gut, and the road that followed was filled with uncertainty, fear, and countless medical procedures. Multiple surgeries and rounds of radiation became part of daily life. Yet through it all, I refused to let cancer define me.
Today, I’m grateful to stand here cancer-free. I carry with me a deep appreciation for the beauty of each moment and a renewed understanding of the strength we discover when life tests us.
The journey didn’t end with cancer, though. Anxiety and depression became part of my healing process, teaching me that recovery is not only physical but also mental and emotional. Embracing both the highs and the lows has become part of my practice, and each step forward reminds me of the resilience we all hold within.
After five years abroad, I’m so happy to be back in New York City, teaching and sharing what I’ve learned along the way.
Movement-based practice has been my saving grace throughout my journey. Whether it's yoga, dance, or simply going for a walk, movement has been my anchor, keeping me grounded when everything else felt uncertain.
Engaging my body in motion has not only provided physical strength and vitality but has also been a powerful tool for managing anxiety and depression. In those moments of despair, it's the rhythm of movement that reminds me of the resilience of the human spirit and the healing power found within ourselves.
Through movement, I've found solace, release, and a renewed sense of purpose. It's not just about the physical act; it's about reconnecting with myself on a deeper level, tapping into the wisdom of my body, and allowing it to guide me towards healing and wholeness.
Whether I'm flowing through a yoga sequence, losing myself in the rhythm of a dance, or simply taking a mindful stroll through nature, movement continues to be my constant companion, reminding me that no matter what life throws my way, I have the strength and resilience to keep going. So do you.
My Offerings
I teach vinyasa flow, incorporating pranayama breath work with specific attention to syncing the breath with movement. We get our bodies moving in space through an alignment based practice.
I have cultivated a deep love for my teaching and I aim to develop a safe and creative space to move, and try new things. A space where we are able to be lighthearted with ourselves within the dedicated practice that draws us to our mats.
We begin using the breath as our tool to move and heal on and off our mats. We are constantly exploring what it means to fully embody our breath. In times that call for clarity and focus, generating the tools to have the ability to slow down and be fully present. Or in times that call us to move through space through a more rigorous asana practice, creating fire and heat.
